Dental implants are replacement tooth roots surgically implanted into the jaw to provide support for artificial teeth, such as crowns or bridges.
Types of Dental Implants
Depending on the treatment required by your case, the implant procedure may take from one day to couple of months. We will guide you through the whole procedure and recommend to you the most suitable implant type assessing your condition.
There are many advantages to dental implants, including: improved appearance and speech, easier eating, improve comfort, self-esteem and oral health. With proper care implants can last a lifetime.
Single Tooth Implant
A single tooth implant is a single implant used to replace one or few missing teeth. A titanium post is attached into the jawbone of the missing tooth as a replacement for the lost tooth’s root. Following that, a dental crown is attached over the titanium post. With this procedure the neighboring teeth are not affected.
Implant to Support Bridge
Implant-supported dental bridges are very similar to traditional dental bridges. However, instead of being supported over adjacent teeth, implant-supported bridges are attached to dental implants embedded in the jaw. The number of implants placed will depend on the size of the bridge.
